Everyday is a Good Day   Jan. 31 2012

Do you know people who are so negative that when you say good morning, they reply what's good about it?  Or perhaps, you say have a nice day and they  just reply with a grunt.  Attitude has a lot to do with your personal well being.  Even so, it has more to do with your future.  How you respond to the now, is how you will respond to the future.  If you are negative about today, tomorrow will not be any better.  I challenge you to say that from this day forward, every day will be a good day.  Why?  Simply put, the bible states that "This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." Rejoice in the now, and tomorrow will be better.

2012    JAN. 26
Where has time gone?  It seems like just the other day that I started this web site.  Time waits on no man, guess that saying I heard as a child is catching up to me.   Many believe that this year is going to bring the end of the world on Dec 21st. I want to reassure those who visit this sight, not to believe the doom sayers but more importantly don't panic. Trust God in all things, in His infinite wisdom, when He decides it's the end of the age, then so be it.  Till then continue to do good, let your light shine, be an example to others, give to the good works to further the kingdom, and most importantly maintain your relationship with our Lord and savior Jesus!!!

Are You A Wise Guy? April 26 2010

When I was growing up, several times I was asked by different people if I was a wise guy.  Knowing this not to be a compliment, I always responded with a "No Sir" or " No Ma'am."  You see when someone asked you that question, it meant that your previous comment may have come across in a tone of sarcasm.  You were perceived at that point  as a potential "Smart Alec" or even a trouble maker.  It meant that from this point on you better be quiet or you will get in trouble.

As an adult, I see this as an introspective question.  Am I a wise child of God?  Am I wise doing His will?  Am I wise with the possession's He's entrusted to me?  Am I living a life that will draw others to the kingdom?  Do I possess the wisdom that the Lord has provided for  me?

Proverbs 9:10 states "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." If you trust God and seek His face daily, He will impart wisdom, knowledge and understanding to you.  Let me encourage you to begin your journey to become a wise guy from this day forward.

As Christians, we tend to take our salvation lightly. We take it for granted that we are saved. Jesus paid the price. We can never repay Him for His suffering. But He did it all out of love. He loved us so much that He endured the cross.

We live in a hurting, dying world, where someone just needs to hear the words Jesus loves you. After talking with a suicidal young lady tonight, I realize how much more this generation needs to hear Jesus loves you. I realize that we must show forth that love of Christ in all areas of our lives, even when we don't want too, because someone out there is watching and waiting to hear Jesus loves you.

LOVE

We live in a world where many people are searching for love.  Some search for it online, while others take to the bars and clubs.  Others go from relationship to relationship in search of that perfect mate.  A famous classic song states "I want to know what love is."   Love makes a person feel worthy, secure and well, just plain good.  When I was a child performing in my fourth grade school play we sang a song with lyrics like "where is love....does it fall from stars above?"  Indeed many are looking for love in all the wrong places.  We know that love comes from God.  He gives us the ability to love.  For God is love.  The word of God states in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."    The bible states that God is the lover of your soul.  He loves you so much that He knows the very number of hairs upon your head.  If you want to experience true love, give God a try.

Increasing Your Faith

As I cleaned my car yesterday, I found some grass seeds stuck to the floor mats that must have come off of my kids' shoes. As I examined one of the seeds, I noticed how it was so small and light. The shape was not perfectly round but somewhat so. I looked at a few more seeds and realized that each seed was unique, yet they were all from the same field of grass that the kids were playing in. I couldn't help but wonder if this is what a mustard seed looked like. Was it smaller than this? What color would it be and what about the shape? Perhaps it weighed less than this grass seed. Perhaps not.

I began to think about what Jesus meant when He said to have faith as that of a mustard seed. Which is the smallest of all seeds, yet when planted becomes a great tree. You see at times I feel like my faith is so small and insignificant that it's like not having any faith at all. How could such little faith move a mountain? How could such small faith make an impact in the life of someone else?

Jesus knew we would have days where we feel that our faith was non-existent. That's why He compared it to a mustard seed. It must be planted, it has to be buried under some stuff, it has to be watered and then one day it becomes a beautiful huge tree. You see if your faith is never questioned, how would you be able to know it's there? If it's not challenged, how would you learn to walk by faith. If it's not tested how would you be able to strengthen it to where it can truly move mountains.

Remember that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God!!!

From God's Perspective  4/16/2010

Since the beginning of time man has struggled with right and wrong.  Should I follow what feels right, should I listen to my friends, should I just do my own thing?  There is no doubt in my mind that life is rough.  We are face with all types of situations and problems on a daily basis.  There are demands on our life from family and friends.  Work and school places numerous stress factors in our path.  Jesus told us that in this life we would have trials and tribulations.  Indeed, there are many.  But when the load seems so great and so overwhelming, we need to make sure that our focus is in the right place.  Are we looking at the problem constantly that it seems so big and God seems so distant and so small? Know that it's the other way around, we serve a big God.  He holds the world in the palm of His hands.  Remember that He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.  Cast your cares on Him and He will make everything all right.

I once had some issues that I could not get out of my mind.  They seemed so big, like a mountain and I had no earthly idea what to do.  I boarded a plane and took a seat by the window.  As I was on the ground looking out, everything outside that window seemed so big.  Then the plane took off down the runway, and we began to go up in the air.  The higher we got, the smaller everything looked.  Now I know just a minute ago everything seemed so big, but my view point was on that level.  As we rose above the things on the ground, my perspective had changed.  That's when I felt God speaking to my spirit telling me that this is His perspective, and I should look at my situations and problems from His viewpoint. No matter what you're going through, take a look at it from God's perspective and you will realize how small our problems are and how big our God really is.
